PRAXIS Core Assessments
The Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators Tests (Praxis Core) measure skills in three different academic areas: reading, writing, and mathematics. The tests provide a comprehensive assessment of whether a teacher candidate has the necessary skills and content knowledge.
Teacher candidates must complete all three of the Praxis Core tests prior to admission into the Elementary Education bachelor of science program at United Tribes Technical College.

Score Reports
In order for UTTC to receive a copy of your score, you must use code 6425 as the recipient code to indicate UTTC as your institution and select UTTC to receive a score report.
Your official score report will be available to you via your My Praxis account approximately 2-3 weeks after the test date. See the ETS website for more information on retrieving your Praxis Scores.
What to bring on test day
ETS will send you information explaining where/when to report and what to do on test day. It is recommended to print this information and take with you to the testing center. You will also need a government-issued ID.
Acceptable forms of ID:
- Driver's license
- State ID card
- Passport
- National ID card
- Military ID card
If you do not have your ID at the testing site, you WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to take the exam. If this happens, you will have re-register and pay to take the test again.
Retaking the Praxis
There is no limit to how many times you can retake an exam. ETS does require a waiting period of 21 days before retaking a test. There is a fee for each time you take a test so it is best to be prepared for the very first exam you take.
